On I 'Monday, 25th, at ray Urenui'yards, I had a big fill try, with a' good attend-' anco of the public. Springing heifers and cows were yarded in good numbers, gelling under good competition at frOm £S to £lO for beat cows and £5 12s Gd td £6 7s Gd for second grade, best dairy heifers .CO 10s to £9, small £4 to £5 las. Bidding opened very slack on store cattle, but improved during the sale, the majority of the yarding being disposed of as follows:—Choice 15-months Jersey heifers £5 2s Gd, grades £3 2s fid to £3 8s fid, good line 15 to 18-month* sheers £3 14s, small or colored £1 15s to £2 10s, bulls £2 17s to £4, 2V a -year

LONDON MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., and Reduced, have received the following cablegram from their London house 'under date November 26: Wool sales—There was a full attendance at the opening of the sales to-day, competition by Home and Continental' buyers being keen and prices, as compared with the close of preceding series, ruled in sellers' favor. The opening catalogues were fairly representative. As compared with last sales' closing rates, prices were higher by about 7% to 10 per cent, for coarse crossbred and merino, and by about 5 per cent, for fine and medium crossbreds. America is operating. Tallow—We quote present spot values for the following descriptions:—Good mutton 39s per cwt., good beef 35s fid, mixed 325. The market is quiet. Wheat—We quote 37s 3d, c.i.f., Australian cargo. There is very little demand owing to increased supplies. Market prospects in America are likely to decline. We quote per quafcer, c.i.f., New Zealand wheat: Long-berried 35s 6d, short-berried 355. THE WOOL MARKET. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cablegram frotn their London offioe, dated November 26: —Wool sales- opened. Attendance of buyers is large, competition animated, and selection good. As compared with last sales' closing rate's, merinos and crossbreds advanced 5 to 7M> per cent, and merinos 'iy 2 per cent. Scoured merinos 5 to iy z per cent, advance. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Adelaide, cabled on November 26 as follows:—The wool market is. excited. At to-day's sales, medium merino wools were y 3 d higher and good merino Id higher. Crossbreds and comeback wools, strong demand.
