PLAGUE IN NOUMEA.
PREVENTIVE MEASURES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, November 28. Advices from Noumea state that the plague is increasing. Theia have been twenty-two deaths, including two Europeans. Energetic steps have been taken, and the town has been officially declared infected. A special vote of £2OOO has been made for burning condemned buildings, among other measures. The cables asking for special appliances to combat the trouble have been received, and IuOO doses of Dr. UafTkine's lymph have been shipped by the steamer Pacifique. .
