Returns show that during 1011 the payments to officials and workmen as compensation totalled. £3,050,404 as compared with £2,700.325 in 1910. and cover seven of the chief industries, including the management funds and legal and medical eosts. The whole amount paid out in connection with compensftton in 1011 totals over £4,000,000.
