PROSPECTS OF REFLATING. By Telegraph—Press Association. Gisborne, Last Night. Langlands and Co., who recently undertook what was regarded as a forlorn hope in the refloating of the wrecked Star of Canada, are meeting with signal success in their efforts. This evening the engmeroom was pumped .dry and much valuable auxiliary machinery is now being retrieved. The, main engines are practically undamaged by their long immersion in the water and will be left in place, Langlands hoping' to use them to propel the vessal to Auckland when they have completed their, task; They are. very conildent of euccess now, and hope in a few weeks to be able to hand the monster steamer over to the work* men at the Calliope dock, Auckland.
