FIRES.
FIRE IN A MOTOR GARAGE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, Monday. A fire in G. W. Wood's motor garage about midnight did about £ISOO of damage. A chauffeur struck a match, which ignited the petrol leaking from a car, and the flames quickly spread, enveloping a number of cars, which were all seriously damaged. Wood's stock was covered by a floating policy for £I6OO in the Guardian Fire Office.
