POLITICAL NOTES.
HON. JAS. ALLEN INTERVIEWED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurcli, Last Night. The Hon. Jas. Allen, in the course of an interview, Stated that he found the special school for boys of feeble mind at Otekaike overcrowded, and he intended ascertaining if extensions can be put in hand almost immediately. At present 70 boys are r.t school, but applications have been received in respect to 200 or 1-iyO. The Minister announced the appointment of Mr. Roy Garliek as director of plij'-sical education in the primary schools ofthe Dominion. Regarding the financial oulltiok, the Minister expressed the opinion 'that there were indications that the stringency of the money market was not now sj acute as it has been.
