A MELBOURNE TRAGEDY.
A PECULIAR MYSTERY. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. Melbourne, November 16. Peculiar circumstances surround the ■hooting of Robert McGregor at East Prahran. Festivities were being held at McGregor's house. During the evening a I guest was ejected. Ringing at the front' door bell in an early hour of the morning interrupted the proceedings. McGregor answered the door. When it was opened, a man standing on the footpath fired five shots from a revolver, two striking McGregor. He was removed to the hospital. Doctors iailed to extract the bullets from the liver and stomach. McGregor refused to name his assailant. Received 18, 12.15 a.m. v Melbourne, November 17. McGregor is dead. He did not divulge his assailant's name.
