RIFLE SHOOTING.
DEFENCE CLUB. The first match of the championship series of the New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club will be fired on the Rewa Rewa Range next Thursday. The conditions will be 10 shots at 300 and 500 yards, with one optional sighter. Practice was indulged in yesterday, when there was a flne muster of riflemen, Territorials and Cadets. A strong wind was blowing, but some good shooting was done.
