Prices obtained showed an advance on the previous week We have an unsatisfied demand for turkeys and fat cockerels. Prices as under:—Hens (old) 2s 6d to 2s Bd, young 2s 7d to 3s JSd, pullets (young) 2s to 2s 6d, forward, 2s 9d to 3s 9d, cockerels (young) 2s 3d to 2s Bd, fat 2s 7d to 3s 4d, ducks 2s 6d to 3s, ducklings 7d <to lOd, drakes 2s 7d to 2s 9d, chicks 7 1 / a d to 10d, turkey gobblers 10s to 15s, geese 3s sd, goslings Is Gd each. Fruit.—During the week there has not been much offering, consequently good prices have been obtained as under:— Banana® (ripe) 3%d per lb, oranges (repacks) 17s Gd, American oranges 24s fid to 255, apples (prime colored American dessert) 17s fid to 18s, lemons 7s 6d to 9s, green peas Is 8d peck, gooseberries 5s 9d to 8s case, new potatoes 3d to 4d lb.
