The New Zealand Greenstone Company, which obtained titles last week, is proceeding with the construction of a traction road from Wainihinihhii to the base of the property at the foot of Griffen Range. The machinery has been ordered from England, and early next year ,the valuable deposits of greenstone, npyhrite, tale and platinum will be ready for exporting. WANGANUI A. AND P. SHOW. Wanganui, Last Night. The entries for the Wanganui Agricultural Show constitute a record. It is expected that late entries will swell the total to 3700. ■NAPIER HARBOR IMPROVEMENTS. Napier, Last Night. A definite move in the direction of settling the question whether fhe outer harbor should be extended and made available for ocean steamers, or an inner harbor capable of admitting large steamers be constructed is about to be taken, I. J. Niven having given notice to move at the next meeting of the Harbor Board that the necessary steps be at once taken to place before the ratepayers proposals to raise a sufficient sum of money to construct an inner harbor, and that the Public Works Department be immediately notified of the Board's decision, so that all misunderstanding regarding the construction of the East Coast railway embankment may be removed, and the work carried on simultaneously with the harbor construction. CANTERBURY A. AND P. SHOW. Christi'hurch, Last Night. The Canterbruy A. and P. Association's Metropolitan Sho\v for 1012, was opened to-day at the Show grounds at Addington in cold, wet and windy .weather. In the competitive cattle and produce sections, the entries received this year show an increase when compared with last year.
