Tke dismissal of the water hands means the stoppage of a number of works and serious interference with building operations in the out suburbs. Owing to slackness of work at the Garden Island naval yard over two hundred men have been dismissed. The curtailment of the Murrumbidgee irrigation works will involve the displacement of a large number of men.
