THE EGG MARKET.
A SUCCESSFUL SHIPMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Mr. J. B. Merrett 'has received word from the Agricultural Department that a cable lias been received from Vancouver advising that the shipment of eggs sent forward from New Zealand in September realised Is 6d a dozen. The price is remarkably high for the time of the year, and it is expected that eggs will reach 3s per dozen during December. It is not anticipated that further shipments will be made this season, owing to inability to secure space in the Vancouver steamers. The eggs arrived in excellent condition, and the merchants at Vancouver are asking for larger shipments to be made of both eggs and poultry.
