MOTUROA ACTIVITIES,

The Taranaki (New Zealand) Oil Wells Limited, has several activities in hand! Work in connection with the erection of the refinery is proceeding apace. Th« machinery and plant are coming to hand and the railway siding is well on the road to completion. The store on the refinery site is completed, and levelling is being done for the other .buildings. Good progress is being made with the erection of the new derriel? alongside No. 1, which is to house the new rotary boring'plant, while tenders have been called for the erection of a new derrick at No. 5 bore to replace the one destroyed by fire. When this is completed' drilling will be recommenced there.

The Xo. 1 bore on Mr. S. Rundle's property at Bell Block is down to 12fr feet. It is passing through sand and boulder formation. Drilling will also shortly ibe commenced on Mr. SoleV property at Mangaoraka.
