RELATIVE COST OF SYSTEMS. By Cable —Press Association—CopyrigM. London, October 30. Mr. King, secretary to the Post Office, continuing his evidence before the Marconi Committee, said that the initial cost of wireless telegraphy was lower than that of a cable, but he estimated that the maintenance and wages were higher.

The Government's estimate for the wireless station sufficiently approximated to Marconi's otter to justify the Post Office, Imperial Defence Committee, and the Admiralty's estimate, including the royalty of £47,000 per station. , The War Office urged that there should be no delay, while the Admiralty, the oversea Dominions and the Treasury are anxious that the Poulsen system should be given a fair chance.
