PELORUS JACK.
CHANGES HIS VENUE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Tuesday. Owing to reports of the disappearance of Pelorns Jack, enquiries liave been made of masters of steamers .trading to Nelson, and show that this celebrated fish had not been seen for six to eight months. His absence frcn his usual haunts has been so much more prolonged than usual, that fears are expressed that Jack has fallen a victim lo some whaling party. Captain Watson, of the Paieena, does not think that Pelorus Jack has been killed.
