FIRES.
A BLAZE IN DUNEDIN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Yesterday. A fire broke out in Dr. Howard's eleven-roomed residence in Forbury road. Seven rooms, with their contents, were destroyed, this being the entire upstairs portion. The insurance on the building was £750 in the Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Office, and the contents for £3OO in the Alliance—probably 75 per cent, of the proper value. It is conjectured that the fire was caused by the fusion of the electric wires.
