FIRES.

A BLAZE IN DUNEDIN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Yesterday. A fire broke out in Dr. Howard's eleven-roomed residence in Forbury road. Seven rooms, with their contents, were destroyed, this being the entire upstairs portion. The insurance on the building was £750 in the Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Office, and the contents for £3OO in the Alliance—probably 75 per cent, of the proper value. It is conjectured that the fire was caused by the fusion of the electric wires.

If your property is not insured, call at or ring up the United Insurance Company, Ltd., Devon street; telephone 191. Webster Bros., district agents. • Insurance effected on the most favorable terms.—Advt.
