A LIBEL CHARGE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. At the instance of William Black and Thomas Walsh, of Auckland, writs have been served upon J. Glover for the Federation of Labor, and A. Grigg, of the Maoriland Worker, claiming £450 each for alleged libel. NAPIER COMPETITIONS. Napier, Saturday. The Competitions Society has decided to hold next, year's festival at Easter in the new Municipal Theatre, which ha; cost £30,000. Mr. Bacyertz has again been appointed judge. A first prize of £SO, and a second of £ls, have been offered for the choir contest open to the'whole of the Dominion.
