FURTHER DETAILS,
Auckland, Yesterday. _ Heavy landslips on the Main Trunk line occurred between Horopito and Ohakune late last night. In all, there were eight falls at different points, within a mile of each other. It is estimated that 3000 tons of earth were displaced. Neither north nor south bound trains got through. Tie latter was held up at Taumarunui. The heavy rain last night had so loosened the soil that, there - 1 were fresh falls as soon as' clearances were made. It is unlikely that communication will be established to-day, as it is almost impossible to tranship the passengers' luggage over so many Blips. '
