BUTCHERY IN MONGOLIA. By Cable—Press Association —Copyrigkt. St. Petersburg, October 9. Yuan-Shi-Kai's troops recently killed ten thousand Eastern Mongolians, their object being to stamp out the inclination to join the outer Mongolians, whose victorious troops are advancing.
THE BRITISH LOAN. London, October. 0. Mr. Acland. replying to a question In the House of Commons, said that the Government was opposed to the loan by Messrs. Birch, Crisp and Company as negotiating with the six Powers. Britain was under an honorable obligation to oppose an outside loan, also China did not give adequate guarantees for the proper expenditure of the loan.
