LABORERS' UNION.
ANNUAL MEETING. There was a large attendance of members at the annual meeting of the New Plymouth General Laborers' Union, which was held last night. Mr. J. Lynch was in the chair. The balance-sheet, which was adopted, showed a credit for the year. Officers were elected as follows:—President, Mr. J. Lynch; vice-president, Mr Charles Ford; trustees, Messrs. T. H. Wilson and G. Martin; management committee, Messrs. Moody, Rcid, R. Wilson; treasurer, Mr. 11. Wilson; auditors', Messrs. S. Smith and G. E. Roper. A,motion was passed placing on record the union's best thanks to Messrs. M. J. Reardon and J. Kennedy for the able manner in which they conducted its ease before the Conciliation Council and the Arbitration Court.
