NEW PLYMOUTH. Mails will close (subject to alterations) at the Chief Post Office, New Plymouth, as under:— For Wellington and South—o.ls a.m. and 12.20 p.m. daily. For Auckland and North, Tuesdays and Fridays, at 7 p.m., and daily per mail train at 6.15 a.m. For Wanganui .and intermediate offices, daily, at 6.15 a.m., 12.20 p.m. and 3.55 p.m.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 2. For Australian States, South Africa, Ceylon, India, China, Japan, Straits Settlements, Eastern and Mediterranean ports, United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, at 12.20 p.m. Due London Aovember 8, Money orders close at 11 a.m.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4. For Tasmania, via Bluff, at 6.15 a.m. ' SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5. For Australian States and South Africa, via Auckland, at 6.15 a.m. MONDAY, OCTOBER 7. For Tonga, Samoa and Fiji, at 6.15 a.m.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10. For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, United States of America, West Indies, Central America and Canada, via Rarotonga, Tahiti and San Francisco (per s.s. Aorangi from Wellington), at 12.20 p.m. (Money orders for Canada and United States of America close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday). Correspondence for the Continent of Europe must be specially addressed.
