APPEAL COURT.
| REX v. TIER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Tuesday. The Appeal Court to-day heard the Crown case reserved, Rex v. Tier. Prisoner was sentenced to five years' imprisonment with hard labor and was | declared an habitual criminal at the last sessions. The question now before . the court was whether his previous conIvictions were sufficient to entitle the i judge to declare him an habitual criminal. Judgment was reserved.
