The Ulster Council is circulating half a million covenant forms, including a parchment certificate bearing the bloodred hand of Ulster intended for preservation. 'Lord Willonghby de Brooke, speaking at Deomore, said they hoped to be able to kill Home Rule without an appeal to arms, hut the surrender of a great principle would be a greater calamity than civil war. ULSTER DAY CELEBRATIONS. London,. September 25. Mr. Birrell spontaneously informed the Lord Mayor that additional troops had been ordered to Belfast for Ulster Day. Sir E. Carson and Mr. Smith were accorded a tremendous ovation at Portadown.
