THE LAKE COLERTDGE STRIKE.,, Br Telegrnnh.—Press A'so'ciatinri. Christehurch, 'Last Night. The men employed at Lake Coleridge works are still on strike, although no -w trouble amongst the men is anticipated. The precaution has been taken to send constables to the scene of the strike ' to maintain order. Mr. Patterson, secretary of the General Laborers' Timor, has received a letter from Mr, H. Campbell, the organiser, dealing with • e state of affairs on the contract, bu' no did not fee] justified in making the extents public- until the letter had been placed before the executives of the union. A further development has taken place. The men want two carpenters dismissed who worked yesterday, and they are threatening to handle them roughly.
