TRADE COMMISSION.
EARLY PREPARATIONS.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ohristchurch, Last Night. A meeting of local business men, convened by the Lyttelton Harbor Board and the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, was held this afternoon to consider the question of local evidence "to be given before the Empire Trade Commission, •when that body reaches Christchurch. It was decided that "committtees be appointed representing the agricultural and pastoral industries, trade and commerce, industrial, and harbour's interests, to make enquiries and supply information with reference to their respective departments, to be forwarded to the Dominion's Royal Commissioner, through the Minister of Internal Affairs; also to recommend experts to .give evidence before the Commissioners when the Commission is being held in New Zealand."
