There were wild scenes when Mr. Lloyd George was receiving the freedom of Llanystvmdwy. The crowd attacked suffragettes who interrupted, tore their clothes, pulled out their hair, trampled them on the ground, and flung one over a hedge. In order to restore order Mr. Lloyd George jumped on a table and led off with the Welsh National Anthem.
