The golf links ut Heretaunga, which wore covered with water on Friday, dried up sufficiently on Saturday to permit of the championship tournament 'being continued. The professional match was won by Butters. In the semi-final of the amateur championship Wood defeated K. Duncan eMily, and Harold Wright defeated Arthur Duncan. Wright and Wood will contest the final on Monday. The following are the scores:— AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP. THIRD ROUND. A. Duncan beat Harold, 3 up and 1 to play. K. Duncan beat 11. Gillies, 7 up and 6 to play. H. Wright beat A. N. Kennedy, 3 up and 2 to play. B. B. Wood beat Goss, 3 up and 1 to play. SEMI-FINAL. B. B. Wood (Christclrarc'h) beat A. Duncan (Wellington), 2 up and 1 to play, PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. SEMI-FINAL.

Simpson beat MeEwan, 1 up. Butters beat Hood, 1 up. FINAL. Butters (Christehurch) beat Simpson (Miramar), 4 up and 2 to play. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. On Saturday a match was played between teams picked by the president and acting-captain. Results, the president's team being mentioned first in each case: F. B. Johns 1, v. W.-C. Weston 0. H. H.
