A sensation has occurred at Posen over the arrest of the widow of Dr. Bloome, a young educationist, in connection with her husband's death. It is supposed that he was accidentally shot whilst examining a revolver in his wife's presence.
AMERICAN FINANCE. Washington, September 20. President Taft has written to the Secretary of the Treasury, attacking Congress methods of finance. lie says that the United State is the only important country where no budget is presented. Congress makes appropriations without examining the financial conditions. He has ordered the heads of departments to submit estimates to the President before they reach Congress.
A SENSATIONAL ACCIDENT. Now York, September 20. An express try in struck and smashed to atoms a street ear in New York. Two passengers were killed and eight seriously injured.
ROOSEVELT'S MAGN'ANEMITY. New York, September 20. Roosevelt announces that if, when elected President, the people are not satisfied he would willingly leave office, if asked.
