To the Editor. Sir,—l shall be much obliged if you can publish the following few lines" re the Egmont by-election. Just prior to the. day of decision a claim was made on behalf of one of the candidates, both from the platform and through the press, that if elected he would be the only dairy farmer representative in Parliament, it is evident to me, Sir, in this connection, that people who make such a claim have been misinformed. A telegram was received in Eltham from the Prime Minister (Mr. Massey) on Saturday, which stated that of'the farmers in the House there were no fewer than twelve dairy farmers, including the Prime Minister.—l am. etc., DAIRY FARMEPv. 19/9/12.
