FIRES.
BLAZE AT KARAMU. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Napier, Last Night. The manager's house on the Hon. J. D. Ormond's Karamu farm was " totally destroyed by fire this afternoon. The manager and the farm employees fought hard to extinguish the flames, but a high wind was blowing, and in a short time the place was totally destroyed. Very little of the contents were saved, and" Mr. Ormond and his manager will lose heavily. The insurance oa tho house was £3OO.
