CHARGE OF THEFT. By Telecrsnh—Press Association. Wellington, September 17. Charles Clements Fish, messenger in the Parliamentary Library, appeared in Court to-day to answer 34 charges of theft of copies of the New Zealand Consolidated Statutes, the property of the Government. The alleged offences extended over the period from 1009 until last month. The value of the volumes said to have been stolen is estimated at about £2OO. Accused pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court' for sentence.
