Despite the term of disqualification imposed. by the New Zealand Council, Deane, the New South Wales League footballer, took part in the Hawke's Bay and Canterbury matches. The Council lias telegraphed to the joint managers of the team to-day to the effect that the remaining matches would be cancefled if an assurance were not given that Deane would not be selected in future teams.
