THE BAKERS' DISPUTE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Thursday. The bakers' dispute was mentioned in the Arbitration Court to-day. Mr Justice Sim said the case was allowed to stand over on the understanding that the federation should apply for a Dominion award, but, owing to the muddled legislation, on the subject, they had been unable to proceed with the application. For the master bakers it was stated that the employers had b"on working on the understanding -that >a Dominion (award would be sought. After taking evidence in various centres they did not wish to have an award made on ■ the evidence given 'in Wellington alone, and would like the ease held over until the Auckland sitting. On behalf of the union it was stated that members were becoming impatient at the delay. It was suggested that the Wellington Union should be represented at. Auckland and the union's representative promised to communicate with the Auckland Union, the dispute .being adjourned in the meantime.
