When play was resumed in the match Australia v. South of England, the weather was fine and the wicket fast. Mayne was dismissed third ball. Kelleway played a sound innings. The field was watchful, and the bowling good. The fifty went up in 55 minutes, and 200 in 105 minutes. Gregory was caught in the slips off the wicket-keeper's gloves.
