They state that if the United States refuses, complications arc likely to arise with the Madero Govern ment, and if it grants permission the ill •will of the revolutionists will be further inflamed.

The Government has agreed to permit of the transference of Mexican troops through United States territory in to enable them to attack the rebels at Konora. It is stated that the decision is likely to inflame the rebels furrier against the Americans residing in the disturbed areas.

The State Department announces lh: defeat of the rebel leader General llalazer. It is expected that the rcba's will be driven southwards of the border and that subsequently tiiere will be i'ew?r clashes with the United States troops (engaged to maintain neutrality.
