The Russian Minister ut l'ekin lias intimated thnt owing to China's ignoring the proposals to revise the treaty of .St. Petersburg of 1811. Russia, in aeeordanee with article 15. has decided that the treaty shall continue for ten years, but that the special concession of free trade t in a zone fifty verbis on either side of ilie frontier will he abolished on the Russian side next year. Russia will not object to the simultaneous abolition of the privileges on the Chinese side.
