RECORD CATTLE SALE.

PEDIG REE-HOLSTEINS IN GREAT DEMAND. 28 REALISE 3577 GUINEAS. B; . The herd, which comprised ta 14 pedigree cows, 3 pedigree heifers (2 tt years),!) pedigree yearling bulls, 2 pedi- b; gree bulls (2yrs), were all sold, and two b< grade llolsteins were also disposed of. e< The average prices constitute a record tl for any one herd in New Zealand. D The 2S pedigree cattle submitted realised 'o: 3577 guineas, an average of 124 guineas !tl each. Three realised over 200 guineas, f< the highest being for a cow Nazli de ii Kol, purchased by R. Morrow, of Ra-U hotu, for 225 guineas. The same pur-jC chaser also secured Dorothea (210g5.), S Nazli's Maid (ISOgs.) and a bull, Echo It' Sir Inka (ISOgs.), as well as others. His c eight purchases totalled 1128 guineas, p Mr. F. Quinn, of Te Awamutu, paid 219 i guineas for Duchess de Kol and calf. Mr. t P. Smedley bought the next highestpriced bull, Prince Alcartra Pietje, for I 170g5,, and Mr. Mare Horo, of Rahotu, '. secured Clotllidle de Kol Segis for 154gs. I Of the eleven bulls submitted, no fewer £ than seven realised considerably over a I hundred guineas. Most of the stock I went to Taranaki buyers, the Coast*be- I ing well represented.
