WOMAN'S WORLD.
(Conducted by "Eileen.") ST. MARY'S BULB SHOW. 1 Tlio annual spring (lower show was lield in St. Mary's Hall last Thursday, but owing to the inclemency of the weather the attendance was only fair. But as the populace of New Plymouth is of a very mercurial nature, one expects little else, especially of anything pertaining to a church function. Blessed rain! What an ecclesiastical friend you can be, and always ready to hp, as an excuse! But, sad to relate, we are not consistent, because if a circus or a pantomime had been visiting the town you, gentle rain, as the last resortful excuse, would not be needed! No wonder you weep! The afternoon tea at the show was served on the stage, and was ably managed by Misses Bedford, Roy, Mathews and J. Hempton. Amongst those present I noticed ill's. Evans, who wore a grey coat and skirt, with a black and white hat; Miss Govett, black and white costume, blue hat; Mrs. Cowling, navy blue coat and skirt, smart hat, with wings; Mrs. Lcatham, navy costume, lighter blue hat; Mrs. Pritchard, black; Mrs. Bewley, navy coat and skirt, grey hat, with white wings; Miss B. Smith, j black; Miss Curtis, brown costume, hat J to match; Mrs. C. ROAD RACE SPORTS.
