THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY
A SCULPTOR'S DEATH. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. New York, September 3. Mrs. Mary Potter, mother of Louis Potter, the sculptor, who died during treatment for skin disease of the hand by a Chinese physician at Seattle, has made a statement that her son was addicted to the occult sciences, but had lately abandoned them. He studied the Chinese and other Oriental mystics with the view of reaching a higher spiritual insight, to enable the greater development of his art. Potter lived under an assumed name in consequence of family disputes regarding his studies. The Chinese physician is missing. A post mortem examination will be made to discover whether the Coroner was instilled in his opinion as to the cause of Potter's death.
