SERIOUS RAILWAY ACCIDENT

TRUCK OVERTURNED. FIVE PERSONS INJURED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. A serious accident occurred on the Taringamutu train to-day. A truck containing passengers was overturned through a collision with pigs on the line. Five people were seriously injured, and several slightly hurt. Tiiie n.unes of the injured are Miss Hanbv (injured in the hack), Rev. Hanby (broken leg), Mrs. Burn Bell (broken wrist), Mr. Vince (broken leg and serious internal injuries), and Mr. Parker (badly cut on the head). Mrs. Hanby, her sister (Miss McFarland) and Mr. A. Cook escaped with a few scratches and bruises. The injured people w-ere brought into Taumarunui this evening.
