INQUEST AT ORMONDVILLE. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Dannevirke, Tuesday. An inquest was opened at Ormondville yesterday before Mr. S. E. McCarthy, S.M., touching on the death of Mrs. Annie May Beck who was found dead on the floor of a bedroom at her residence at South Norsewood on Saturday morning, under suspicious circumstances, which led to the arrest of her husband on a charge 'of murder. The inquest lias not been concluded. Evidence given showed that deceased was in a good state of health on Friday at 4 p.m. when last seen. She was then left in the house with her husband. MAORI AVOMAN'S DEATH. Auckland, Tuesday. The Maori woman Ngaritei. who cut her throat oil June evidently being affected by her daughter being sentenced to live years' reformative treatment for arson, died last night.
