AN ESCAPED PRISONER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Yesterday. Schulter, who was awaiting trial' on remand for a series of forgeries and tittering, broke gaol. Prisoner, when arrested, carried a revolver, and the magistrate refused bail. SchiiHer was recaptured near the Water of Leith. _. , Later. Frederick William Schulter, who escaped this morning while waiting for his case, to come on in the police court, and who was subsequently re-captured, pleaded guilty to six charges of forgeries this afternoon, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. He cannot be charged with escaping from legal custody, as he was not under sentence at the time. .
