TRADE COMMISSION.
THE HON. J. R. SINCLAIR'S POSITION. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent), Wellington, Last Night. The Minister of Internal Affaire (the Hon. 11. D. Bell) announced in the Legislative Council to-day that the Government had affirmed the nomination of the Hon. J. R. Sinclair as New Zealand's representative on the Imperial Trade Commission, in terms of the recommendation of the previous Government. His Excellency the Governor had been recommended to grant Mr. Sinclair leave of absence for the session. Hon. J. E. Jenkinson: May I ask how a salary for our representative is bo be provided? T.he Hon. Mr. Bell replied that he was prepared to make a statement of the arrangement made by the previous Government which the present Government affirmed, but he -would first like to be given an opportunity of consulting the Prime Minister. If the question were asked on the next sitting day he would give an answer. Mr. Jenkinson agreed;
