It is the intention of the committee ' of the Circular Road Race to make a , systematic canvass of the town for the, purpose of obtaining additional subscriptions towards the funds. Without a doubt this road race is one of Taranaki's , best advertisements, and also it causes , a large amount of money to circulate. , Owing to the liberality of the committee « in the matter of prizes, a large sum of. money is yet required to make up tharequired amount. A condition under' which the. Britannia Tyre Co. presented' its magnificent, challenge cup, valued', at 50 guineas, was that the road race should bo held annually. As the towns and villages on the route have taken up the project with great enthusiasm, it remains for the townsfolk (who will benefit most) to help to make this year's [ -race a great success.
