CANADA QUIESCENT. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright London, August 28. Replying to the deputation from the Women's Political Union, Mr. Borden said he did not intend to introduce women's suffrage. The deputation hinted that they might instruct the Canadian women to resort to militancy, and also advise emigrants to go to Australia instead of Canada. Mr. Borden retorted that this would not influence him.
