AN ARBITRARY TRIBUNAL.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Reefton, Last Night. The Miners' Union yesterday asked a member to resign. Ho had served subpoenas on members and gave a letter re the conditions at Broken Hill to the Inangainia Times. One member who had gone back to work was exonerated.
TROUBLE AT THE THAMES.
Thames, Last Night. A mining trouble has occurred at Karangahake. This union is a branch of the Thames Miners' Union, registered under the Arbitration Act. No official details are to hand, but it is stated that the afternoon shift refused to go to work. A mass meeting of miners is to be held to-morrow at noon. The president of the Thames Miners' Union has been (requested to attend.
