THE COAL VEND.
BEFORE THE APPEAL COURT.
By Cable—Preee Association—Copyrifkt. Received 26, 9.30 p.m. Sydnej', August 26. The hearing of the appeal of the shipping companies in the coal vend case has commenced before the High Commissioner. The chief ground of appeal relates to the admissibility of certain evidence, particularly evidence relating to the Vend minutes prior to the date of the alleged combination. It is contended that the minutes of the Vend are not evidence against the shipping appellants.
