AN AVIATOR DROWNED,
AIR AND WATER.
By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received 27, 1.10 a.m. Tripoli, August 2(5. Lieut. Mangini, an expert aviator, reconnoitring in a monoplane, fell into the sea and was drowned. Received 27, 1.10 a.m. Berlin, August 2G. The Zeppelin airship Hansa, provided with a .superstructure, alighted on the surface of the Elbe and cruised in the water at a rate of three and a half knots, the propellers in the rear acting as rudders. Finally she rose in the air and landed at Hamburg.
RAPID FLYING. Paris, August 25. The airman Heleu made a flight of 190 kilometres (120 miles) in fis minutes.
MILITARY AIRSHIPS. Berlin, August 25. Ormany is equipping airships with machine guns.
