A CONSTITUTION* FOR ULSTER. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received "26, 9.30 p.m. London, August 26. Mr. Mays presided at a large meeting of Unionists at Straffan, at which it was resolved to resist Home Rule.
Mr. Ronald McNeill, a Unionist member of the House of Commons, says that the Unionists will shortly have to deal With a constitution whereby it is proposed to assume, if necessary, provisional government for Ulster. Then- might be Bome technical illegality, but there is nothing disloyal or rebellious to the Crown in the Ulste/Unionist movement.
Mr. Austen Chamberlain, in' a letter to a correspondent, denies the rumored disagreement with Mr. Bonar Law regarding the case of Ulster.
