ALLEGED ILLTREATMENT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 25, 5.5 p.m. Kingston (Jamaica), Aug. 24. A passenger attired in priestly robes was refused permission to land, on the ground of "being an alien. It is suspected that he participated in the explosion plot resulting in the destruction of the Presidential Palace at Port-au-Prince. He was subsequently allowed ashore. He claims to be a British subject named Ernest Eossey, and denies the charges. He alleges that he was roughly treated by the Haytian police, and intends appealing to Great Britain.
